The latest:
04-02-06:  The Tour of Flanders, in Belgium.  All I can
say is WOW!  World Champ, Tom Boonen is freakin
awesome.  The power he generates is amazing.  He
hammered through that race like it was nothing.  Great
job by American, George Hincapie as well pulling out 3rd
place.  With Ghent-Wevelgem on Wednesday and
Paris-Roubaix on Sunday, we are smack dab in the
middle of the Spring Classics!

03-27-06:  The family went to Arbuckle Wilderness in
Oklahoma today.  It was a lot of fun.  The park was a little
empty and run down but the kids both had a blast.  This
was evident by the crankiness we all encountered on the
trip home.  I think I will always remember the ostriches
chasing the car and Holly and Emma screaming.
03-19/20-06:  Fayetteville, TX. Stage Race.  Went
pretty well besides the cruddy weather.  Rain and wind
made it very interesting and difficult.  The first stage, I
came in 12th in the pack sprint at the end.  Not feeling
too well I thought I might pack it up start the 5 hour drive
back home.  However, I had my new Time Trial bike and I
wanted to try it out so I decided to stay.  Once on the
Time Trial course I realized I felt pretty good and caught
the 3 men who left in 30 second intervals prior to me.
Once the results came in I had placed 4th in the Time
Trial, which moved me to 5th overall.  With a 5th place
ranking I couldn't go home early.  The next morning
brought more bad weather and even more wind.  My
strategy was to defend my 5th place seeding.  As we
approached the Mountain Top Time Bonus line the rider
placed right behind me went for the 7 second bonus.  If
he would have gotten a bonus and I did not, he would
have a 1 second advantage on me so I had to respond.
He took the 7 seconds and I took the second place, 5
second bonus.  I managed to protect my 5th place overall
and with the extra time bonus moved up to 4th overall, so
I'm glad he went for it!  At the end of the race I finished
12th place in the sprint again and ended 4th overall.
03-18-06:  The Dallas Cowboys sign Terrell Owens?!?!
OK, I had to stop and think hard on this one.  I could not
stand him when he was on the Eagles, but what can I
think now that he is wearing the Lonestar?  Should I
support him or hate him?  Well, I decided to give him a
shot.  I see it like this, he is a remarkable, talented
superstar and he knows it and wants everyone else to
know it.  His attitude with the Eagles gave him a horrible
reputation, which eventually lead to his dismissal.  I don't
think T.O. can do that again without destroying his career
and I don't think Parcells will let it happen.  So I feel that
his presence to the team will only display his superstar
quality and better their offense 10 times.  He only needs
to keep his head inside Texas Stadium.
05/07/06:  We had a company outing today at
Ballpark in Arglington (Ameriquest Field) to watch
the Texas Rangers vs. New York Yankees.  It was
game 3 of the 3 game series and the Yanks had a
clean sweep brewing.  As good as the Rangers
have been playing, they couldn't keep up with the
Yankees.  We were only able to stay for about 4
inings but it was enough to see the winning runs
scored.  It was also a historical game as it was the
Yankees' manager, Joe Torre's 1,000th career win!
